Our Story

C1 Comics/Publishing is a Bronx based independent comic book company founded by the creative team of Gary Camp and Ed Mouzon. In 1999, C1 Comics/Publishing entered the publishing arena by publishing an anthology one shot showcasing new comic book characters that will one day shape the C1 Universe. C1 Comics/Publishing has expanded beyond the anthology book and now publishes a well-rounded number of print and digital comics in 2013.

It’s been a long journey since our 1st Independent self-publish comic book back in 1999, from our first encounter at a Local comic book store in New York City soon after joining forces and co founding Creative One Studios a collective of Bronx base comic book artists and writers working together as a creative force in the Tri state area Indy comic book scene. We have been able to pursue a career in self-publishing and organizing local comic book art events. 

We attribute our success with C1 Comics/Publishing by believing and respecting each other’s ideas and diverse opinions. Also by not compromising our integrity and values, Our motto has also been “Don’t let others define what you can do as an artist.” The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to make sure that if you want a job well done, you must do it yourself. Our legacy has been from the start to do quality comic book stories for us by us for the comic book consumers.
